Title: Recent Trends in Electrically Small Antenna Design
Abstract : In this presentation we review the fundamental challenges and limitations associated with designing electrically small, single band and multiband antennas. We present fundamental performance limits that apply to all small antenna designs. We also discuss a number of practical techniques that facilitate the tuning and impedance matching of these antennas. This presentation discusses the design and performance properties of a number of small dipole, monopole, loop, inverted-L, inverted-F (IFA) and Planar Inverted-F (PIFA) antennas.
