Title: Coherence, Chimeras and Passage Time Statistics
Abstract: Noise sources manifest themselves in the dynamics of lasers and their coherence properties. Passage and dwell time measurements on such optical oscillators provide a way to assess the strength and nature of these noise sources and their influence on the coherence of the light emitted. We will then present examples of measurements showing the transition from noise to coherence in time-delayed optoelectronic feedback oscillators that can also display chimeras (simultaneous coexistence of synchonization and desynchronization in oscillator networks) and switching statistics.
