Title: Shifting the fundamental physics frontiers with spectacular signals and precision at present colliders and beyond

Abstract: In my talk I will describe recent progress and the present frontier of the understanding of the most fundamental laws of Nature, focusing especially on recent discoveries at particle colliders, and on the astonishing precision with which the Standard Model of particle physics has been verified at the Large Hadron Collider.
Starting from these results I will present the great questions that are left to us too seek an answer for, and the experimental means we can use to attack these questions. I will discuss in detail the role played by present and future collider machines and my plans to search for new physics with these machines looking for distinctive and spectacular signatures.
In addition, I will present my ideas on how to search for more subtle signatures of new physics enabled by the recently proven high-precision understanding of hadron collisions in the Standard Model up to multi-TeV energy scale. Concentrating on the top quark sector and new physics related to it, I will illustrate how, leveraging precision, it is possible to discover new physics in scenarios otherwise hard to detect. This strategy of search will inevitably sharpen our control on “old” physics, opening the way to understanding the next layer of fundamental interactions by accurately measuring new physics particles masses and couplings and enabling even more precise understanding of particle physics process relevant beyond new physics searches and outside the domain of colliders physics.
