Since the advent of supersymmetric field theories, mathematical physics has undergone a profound transformation – both in terms of the “tools of the trade” and with respect to its impact across several branches of mathematics. In this talk we will begin by providing an elementary application of supersymmetric ideas within quantum mechanics. We will then describe two projects which illustrate how supersymmetry links problems and results in representation theory, geometry, and topology.
