Double Major/Degree
Students interested in adding a second major or a second degree in Physics should schedule an appointment with a Physics Advisor to discuss the major requirements. Students who wish to proceed with adding Physics as a second major or degree will be asked to complete the Declaration of Additional Major form on the CMNS website and have it signed by both their current advisor and an advisor in the Physics Department, and then return the form to the Dean’s Office at 1300 Symons Hall.

Physics Minor
Students interested in adding a Physics minor should schedule an appointment with a Physics Advisor to discuss the minor requirements. After the meeting, students who wish to proceed with adding the minor should complete the Declaration of Minor form and return it to the Office of Student and Education Services.

Advising Process
Physics majors participate in a robust advising process that is designed to help them make the most of their time at the University and to get support from a variety of resources. The advising process is detailed in the flowchart below. advisingflowchart
