Summer Camps

Summer Girls is a free, two-week program with sessions for rising 9th graders and 11th and 12th graders. Activities include numerous lab experiments, lessons, demos, and tours of research hosted at UMD. The 9th grade session focuses on mechanics, while the 11th and 12th grade program jumps into the world of modern physics. Read more...

 

This innovative program combines physics, sport, and literature of the Harry Potter novels. Within the context of the real-life sport of quidditch, camp participants conduct experiments, learn concepts in mechanics, explore fantasy elements of the novels, and play the game of quidditch. Read more...

 

 

The Amazing Science Discovery Camp is a one week summer camp for students entering grades 3-5 with an interest in exploring their physical world. Each day of the camp is filled with exciting experiments, interesting lessons, educational demonstrations, and more.
