• Professor Emeritus Chung Yun Chang died on October 29, 2025.
• Former staff member Jenny Elmore died on January 25, 2026.
• Jerry Forbes (M.S., 1967) died on January 7, 2026. 
• Neelam Gupta, (Ph.D., 1972), a physicist at the Army Research lab, died on September 11, 2025.
• Former professor Nicholas Krall died on January 17, 2026.
• Russell M. Kulsrud (B.A., '49), died on September 23, 2025.
• Professor Emeritus Y.S. Kim died on October 25, 2025.
• Sally Megonigal, a devoted and decades-long member of the Department of Physics, died on December 12, 2025.
