Professor Wolfgang Losert has been named interim associate dean for faculty affairs and graduate education in CMNS effective August 15, 2015. Wolfgang will assume the role previously held by Paul Smith, who served the college for over five years in this role.

Gretchen Campbell has recently been announced as the IUPAP 2015 Young Scientist Prize recipient in the field of Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics. The organization cited her "outstanding contributions in toroidal Bose-Einstein condensates and its application to "atomtronic" circuits."
